| Suitable for | |
The removal
of Light and Dense Non Aqueous Phase Liquids either floating on top
of groundwater (LNAPL) or settled at the base of an aquifer (DNAPL). Techniques and system can be adapted to simultaneously remove groundwater in addition to free product, if required. |
|
| Technique | |
For a floating layer (LNAPL) either skimmer pumps or vacuum enhanced product uplift techniques can be used. Sinking product (DNAPL) generally requires total fluids downwell pumps. Either of the above can be pneumatically or electrically powered depending on site availability. |
|
| Benefits | |
Careful
installation of an appropriately designed product recovery system
allows rapid removal of product over small or large areas. Extracted product often has residual value if recovered in significant quantities. |
