Rapid removal of contaminated soils from site offering tangible 'closure' of the works. This technique can be suitable for very heavily contaminated or difficult soils where a 'quick fix' is required though disposal costs can be considerable. |
|
| Technique | |
Impacted soils are excavated from site and loaded onto trucks or skips for transport to a suitably licensed disposal facility. Works would normally include some form of on-site testing/validation and typically sampling from the extremities of the excavation for laboratory analysis to confirm all contamination has been removed. |
