Entire tank farm from former fuel retail site removed in conjunction with decommissioning works.

These works included the removal of an entire tank farm from an operational fuel retail site.

Works included draining down/purging, uplifting contents, degassing and exposing all eight tanks for cold cutting to make safe prior to uplift and disposal off site.

The resultant tank void was surveyed and sampled which identified minor impact to soils in one location which was selectively removed.  Minor groundwater impact was dealt with by pump and treat techniques.

The removal of one large single iron solvent tank from urban site of former textile factory required specialist treatment due to construction of tank which was heavy steel sections riveted.

A sensitive urban site of former textile facility being redeveloped as prestigious inner city apartments.  Historic solvent tank was removed in one lift revealing contamination from relatively modern offset fills.  Historic plate and rivet tank remained intact.
